Oz. I am Oz, the Great and Terrible. Who are you, and why do you seek me?
Dorothy (собираясь с духом). I am Dorothy, the Small and Meek. I have come to you for help.
Oz. What do you wish me to do?
Dorothy (серьезно). Send me back to Kansas. I don't like your country, though it is so beautiful.
Oz. Why should I do this?
Dorothy. Because you are strong and I am weak; because you are a Great Wizard and I am only a little girl.
Oz. But you were strong enough to kill the Wicked Witch.
Dorothy (просто, наивно). That just happened, I could not help it.
Oz. Well, I will give you my answer. Help me and I will help you.
Dorothy. What must I do?
Oz. Kill the Wicked Witch of the West.
Dorothy (изумленно восклицает). But I cannot!
Oz. You killed the Witch of the East. There is now but one Wicked Witch left. When she is dead I’ll send you back to Kansas.
Dorothy (начинает рыдать от разочарования). I never killed anything, willingly. Even if I wanted to, how could I kill the Wicked Witch, if you, Great and Terrible, can’t do it?
Oz. I don’t know, but that is my answer. Remember, the Witch is Wicked - tremendously Wicked - and ought to be killed. Do not ask to see me again until you have done your task.
